Founded in 1955, LSI is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of vinyl wallcoverings. LSI ships to more than 60 countries for commercial, hospitality, healthcare, residential and high-end projects. Two U.S. manufacturing facilities are located in New Albany, Kentucky and New Castle, Indiana. Operations and wallcoverings are certified to NSF/ANSI 342, the most comprehensive sustainability standard for wallcovering. Both manufacturer and distributor must meet this standard for a product to be certified. LSI's newest plant is located in the Wujiang Economic and Technological Development Zone in Suzhou, China. The company sources the highest quality raw materials to produce premium wallcoverings. LSI meets or exceeds U.S. laws and regulations governing health, safety, labor, quality and the environment.
LSI Wallcovering willfully practices environmental stewardship and proactively: 1) develops sustainable products and services for the building interiors market 2) drives a sustained and meaningful sustainability program at manufacturing facilities and 3) supports the health and safety of employees and the community.
LSI bolsters its commitment to sustainability with aggressive waste management that captures and reduces in-process waste for reuse. Post-consumer and post-industrial wallcovering are recycled into new wallcovering via the industry-leading Second-Look® program. Use of low VOC materials and water-based inks eliminate pollutants in the product and environment. LSI continues to research and develop processes and materials to meet increasingly exacting sustainability standards.
